Fort Worth, Texas (November 22, 2022) Ballet Folklorico de Fort Worth, a nonprofit dedicated to providing the Fort Worth community with multicultural understanding through the power of dance and music, takes first place at the 40th GM Financial Parade of Lights.
Returning for their second win, BFFW parents and volunteers spent weeks in preparation for Fort Worth’s largest parade of the year. With thousands of sparkling lights, a live DJ, and performances, BFFW took over the downtown streets with a custom-built tree float.
Representing the variety of Mexican culture, each dancer represented a unique dance.
With a sold-out crowd, BFFW gained the favorite overall appearance from the local community and attendees.
“Our parents, volunteers, and sponsors spent over 6 weeks in preparation for this parade. We are thrilled and honored to take first place in the 40th GM Financial Parade of Lights. I can assure you we will be back next year – bigger and better!” Carmen Garcia (Artistic Director) says.
BFFW’s first-place award was recognized on November 21 and will hold the title until the upcoming year.
